The Boxer CeilingThe Boxer Ceiling is an assault on gay men's sexuality, dignity and autonomy by those who demand that we shift the basis of our sexual orientation away from biological sex toward "gender identity." The Boxer Ceiling file contains thousands of hateful messages from social media accounts as well as "respected" journalists who think that gay men should go back into the closet by pretending that trans females are included in our sexual boundaries when we know that they're not. The file contains numerous expressions of hate against "cis gay men," who are imagined to be oppressors of transitioning heterosexuals who "identify as gay."
Boxer Ceiling abuse can come from anyone, trans-identified or not. The only requirement is holding the irrational, homophobic belief that deconstructing homosexuality out of existence is a necessary condition for "trans liberation." These are the messages that an entire generation of young gay men are growing up reading about themselves. The emotional and mental-health damage inflicted by this cruel, ongoing campaign of hatred is already being felt by gay men around the world. |
